Early life

King at LA with The Saturdays

King was born in Wandsworth, Greater London and attended Surbiton High School, in Kingston-upon-Thames, Greater London. King was on the Surbiton High Ski team with fellow pupil Chemmy Alcott. She later ski raced for Great Britain as one of the youngest on the team and later went on to ski for the English Alpine squad. King achieved three As in her A levels, in Psychology, Business and Economics, and Sport.

Career

King is one fifth of girl group The Saturdays. The band have had six top 10 hits, four top 5 hits and two number twos, "If This Is Love", "Up", "Issues", "Just Can't Get Enough" for Comic Relief, "Forever is Over" and "Ego". The band consists of Una Healy, Frankie Sandford, Vanessa White and Rochelle Wiseman.

She is known for being the 'posh one', and plays acoustic guitar. The Saturdays accompanied Girls Aloud on their Tangled Up Tour from 13 May to 4 June 2008. She appeared on The X Factor in 2005 and 2007, as a solo artist in 2005 and failed to impress Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne and Louis Walsh and didn't get through the auditions. King auditioned again, but as a part of girlband Fallen Angelz, (formed in 2005). The group were given positive reception by the judges, although they failed to get past the bootcamp stage of the competition.

Before becoming part of The Saturdays, King worked as a model, for brands such as Gillette, Abercrombie & Fitch and Clean & Clear.
